The Sri Lankan deputy minister of social services Chandrasiri Sooriyarachchi has been injured in a road mishap in Habarana, police said.The Pajero jeep he had been travelling in crashed into a culvert and overturned at Hiriwadunna, Habarana Police.
Sooriyarachchi will have to undergo an x-ray test for a wound in one of his hands, said an official of Polonnaruwa Hospital, where he is being treated, said.
At the time of the incident, Mr. sooriyarachchi had been on his way from Colombo to Polonnaruwa.
